Khyber Medical University, abbreviated as KMU, is a public research university located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Established in January 2007, the university comprises several constituent colleges and institutes, affiliated undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental institutes and various allied health sciences programs.
The Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) is an independent regulatory authority established under the Pakistan Nursing Council Act of (1952, 1973) and subsequently amended in 2023. It operates under the framework of the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Amended Act of 2023. PNMC’s primary mandate is to grant licenses and registration to healthcare professionals, including Nurses, Midwives, Lady Health Visitors (LHVs), and Nursing Auxiliaries, allowing them to practice legally within Pakistan. The PNMC was founded in 1948 and has since played a crucial role in ensuring the competence and ethical standards of nursing and midwifery professionals across the country.
The Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) is an independent and impartial Regulatory Authority for Private Sector Universities /Institutes and colleges. It derives its authority from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Registration and Functioning of Private Educational Institutions Ordinance 2001. HERA is committed to both encouraging the highest standards of education offered by Private Sector Educational Institutions and providing prospective students and their parents with an invaluable guide to quality in an often complex sector. Our efforts are to pass judgement on educational institutions, but also to nurture their attempts to raise standards and the quality of education for all.
